3 Columbus Circle
This building was never an architectural masterpiece but the current project, to clad the building in glass, seems a monumental waste money ($60 million), time, effort, and resources. Oddly, the glass sheets are being laid over the existing facade (windows and all) in such a way that, theoretically, one could remove them at a later date and reveal the original facade more or less intact. If you look closely you can see the original facade through the glass on the left side of the image.
