Spanish dereliction

There is no shortage of images for this exercise here in southern Spain.
However, have visited frequently over the past twelve years, it is quite remarkable the improvements that have been made to the road network and also to the villages that nestle in these hills. Much of the improvement can be laid at the door of EU grants but the village mayors have had to be proactive to secure grants in order to get the best for their community.
The expat invasion has had a beneficial effect as well on much of the old housing stock, particularly the Brits with their inherent love of "character".
I shall be here in Spain for a further three Derelict Thursdays and I intend to find all my shots within the confines of this village (population approx 400).
p.s. The sun is shining and so far, no need for umbrella or cardigan!
