Sunday 28 September 2014: Drumburgh
It isn't woth going home between afternoon visiting and evening visiting at the hospital. Often we fill the time by driving to the garden centre and having coffee but being Sunday they shut early.
Today we decided to have a change and drive out towards the coast, to what was known in my youth as the Solway Marshes. Our first stop was at Drumburgh (Pronounced Drumbruff) looking over the marshes to "the Scotch side" (yes I know strictly speaking only whisky is Scotch) when we turned round there were some "fingers of God" (Crepuscular Rays) coming down from the clouds. While I was trying to get some shots the local farmer came out onto the grass with his quad and proceeded to "Leuk t'stock" (make his daily inspection of his animals). This caused these sheep to move nicely into shot.
On the hospital front CC's Mum was a little better.
