Red Legged Partridge

As we walked over the tops this morning, we came upon hundreds of red legged partridges, which for some reason seem to be everywhere round by us this year.

Unfortunately, this young one seemed to be injured in some way and made no attempt to fly off as we approached.

Fortunately for me, his injury enabled my choice of blip for the day to be very easy!
