Castle Rock, Valley of the Rocks

The name and setting of this outcrop make me think of Lord of the Flies. We strolled along the Valley of the Rocks before going in to Lynton where, by a happy coincidence they were holding a food fair.

After a walk down in to Lynmouth and a trip back up on the funicular railway, we enjoyed a freshly cooked Thai curry, in the sunshine before going on to Watersmeet to walk if off.

After that it was back to the cottage to enjoy the drama of the Ryder Cup highlights.
