A closeup picture of rust (or worse, an out of focus, slightly motion-blurred closeup picture of rust) indicates that I had a long to very-long day at work. Today was very long.
Still, I could have taken the time to get a crisper shot here. Sorry. Sorry you have to see this at all.
BTW, the reason that I think a picture like this is a worthwhile practice at all is that I shoot wider and crop to find the best composition I can, which I hope improves my ability to see good compositions at first go in the future.
I just posted a screenshot on flickr of the process. I think it's a useful exercise - do you?
