Today's the day ........................... to hang on to summer

Such a lovely day today - still warm enough to wear a t-shirt and have a cup of coffee outside. It seems as if it has been summer for such a long time. I've got used to it too - and it's not going to be easy to get into winter mode which apparently is not that far away.

But just for today, I'm hanging on to summer - and so it seems is this skylark. It just stopped for long enough on a wooden fencepost for me to grab a shot of him ......................
