Its National Poetry Day today, so heres a little something for my Best Beloved...

Fear not my child, my beautiful child,
For I will protect thee.
As nightfall beckons, slumber gives, and
Shadows whisper free.

Fear not my dear, my most precious dear,
For I will stay with thee,
As skies darken, the rain doth fall,
From the heavens silently.

Fear not my love, my beautiful love,
For I will cherish thee.
Hold your delicate hand, caress your brow,
For all eternity.
