Thursday: Thank You Note

We closed the office for the day and, instead, travelled about 40km outside Zagreb to spend the day at a children's home, doing whatever jobs we could to help. It was an SOS Children's Village wherein small groups of children live in houses, with a house mother, rather than in one big home. This particular village had about 16 houses, and there are about 5 children in each.

Our particular job was to paint the rooms in one of the houses, as well as give the playground a bit of a facelift. A couple of the children asked if they could help us, and afterwards they gave us this handwritten note. It says something along the lines of: 'We had a really nice day with you. Please come back soon and we promise to take good care of all the things you have painted'.

This was so much better than an Away Day with flipcharts!
