Autumn evening, Oxford

I was having fun with my camera while waiting for the bus home today on High Street, and I love this shot. I tried to better it with the sun more hidden, but I couldn't. My camera club eye says the sun is blown, but my real world eye says who cares, I take photos because of that something that appeals to me, not to tick the technical boxes! I especially love the timelessness which mono gives it, as well as the backlighting and the shadows.

Sympathy Thai food was great by the way, even if our colleagues were riding elephants today, at least we had some good food! I comforted myself that I was doing that in March, so it's all fine. Also good was chai lattes in work, my colleague TJ has perfected froth production in a cafetiere!
