1914 History in print
My greatest interest is history, local and family, so when someone brought these 1914 newspapers into our local research room I along with others were overjoyed. Most are in reasonable condition considering they were under a linoleum floor from 1938 to 1948 then kept in a box until now. As I am the one sorting them ready for copying and conserving I gently put these few together for my reward, I mean blip.
There are calls for the war effort at the top but at home the Richmond Show demands a new hat. There are sections for sale and so life goes on. My father would have read these newspapers as a schoolboy so I added his old glasses.
