Bigger Lizard

I was standing at our patio doors watching two green anoles (little green lizards that change colors) when I saw something out of the corner my eye. It was this guy. He was going under a chair, but not until after I quickly got a camera. He was at least 10" long. My wife thought he was creepy. I hope he helps reduce the insect population, but he would frighten me if I was sitting on the patio, and he came toward my chair. The photo I didn't chose to post was of a snake skin about 4 feet long that was at the rear of our backyard. I spotted it while mowing the grass. I know that's natural for snakes to shed their skin, but I wish he would not choose our yard.
