A Man-Made Landscape
I took a detour today, to photograph this view.
Just about everything in this landscape is man made. This isn't necessarily a bad thing.
As you can see in the foreground, the hedge was laid about 2 years ago in the Lancashire style (each part of the country has its own style of hedgelaying). Hedgelaying not only provides an excellent barrier, but is also good for wildlife.
I'm glad that once dying crafts like hedgelaying are making a comeback as we re-learn the old ways of living in harmony with nature.
