Finishing Touches!

For far too long we used to drive past the Historic Hydro Majestic Hotel in Medlow Bath watching it falling into disrepair. It was quite depressing as restoring it seemed to be moving into impossible territory.

And then, happily we noticed that there were workmen scurrying around and there was activity once again. They have been working for months now and it's wonderful to be able to report that they're just putting on the finishing touches before the big opening at the end of October.

This famous dome has been shrouded in scaffolding for some time and we were astonished to drive by today and see just two workmen instead of the army of tradies who were frantically restoring it. We're so looking forward to it being open to the public again. The historic tourist attraction has arguably the best views in the Blue Mountains.
