The hot streak* continues
The self-imposed-by-necessity-only-one-snap-a-day challenge continued today when I broke free from my basement office to make an early morning run to the Post Office. This one needed some help with spotlighting and other trickery but it suited the gist of the thoughts it stirred.
It's another bright, sunny, not-too-cold day with small rivulets coming off every giant snow heap. Love to see that. They are predicting a possible record flood in the Mississippi because of huge snowfalls and the potential for rapid melt. Hope not.
As I pulled into this parking spot I snickered because on such a fine day I am most definitely not postal, therefore I must not be allowed to park here. On the very short drive home I was remembering the awful event that spawned the saying 'going postal' and a friend's dad, the postmaster of a small town who would, when someone used the saying in his presence, get incensed, furious, red faced angry because of the negative publicity it garnered the postal service. He did, of course not realize that his 'going postal' over saying 'going postal' was in fact, illustrating the point perfectly.
*it's actually a cold streak but hot streak sounds better
Jim Brandenburg took a 90 day, only one snap a day challenge too but his pictures were a ton better. After entering his website, scoot over to the far right to view galleries and click on Chased by the Light. Sigh. Beautiful stuff.
