Telegraph road

Driving back onto North Uist across one of the many causeways and I had this view. For fairly obvious reason Telegraph Road came to mind and since then I've had the Dire Straits song echoing around my head. Great band and a great song, if a little self-indulgent.
The wind has dropped a bit and so a stroll on the beach was in order. The ornithological highlight was a Peregrine flashing by. So much power in a muscular, fast body, it is small wonder that everything in its path takes to flight, even the old bruiser Great Black-backed Gulls.
