Spain!

I took this from the plane as we were on our descent to Alicante airport. One of the first things that struck me was how dry the countryside was - almost like a desert. I think that drought has been a major concern to the south of Spain over the last few years, and I could see why from this view. When we arrived, there had been no rain for five months - although that soon changed!
