Love .....
..... Hope, Believe.
This afternoon I headed over to Bradford to meet up with John B and the two of us spent a couple of hours in Buttershaw taking photos.
Buttershaw has a bit of a reputation of being a rough area and was used as the setting for the film Rita, Sue and Bob. With it's reputation it took a while to feel comfortable taking photos there but as soon as we started chatting to people it was a lot easier. All the people we encountered were friendly enough and no one objected to having their photo taken.
We spent a bit of time in the estate pub, The Beacon ( which is n the opening scene of the film ) and chatted to a few of the regulars in there. The more I go out taking photos of people in different areas the more I realise that most people are inherently good regardless of reputation, class, religion or colour. I liked the message sprayed on these shutters on the estate and after taking this candid of Neil walking past he waved hello and posed for a more formal portrait but I liked this one better, so today's blip is .....
..... Love, Hope, Believe.
A few more from Buttershaw here.
