Last of the Summer Dawns

Up early after an early night last night, to witness this most stunning dawn. The heavy rain has not yet reached us in the East Midlands, so there was blue sky and high cloud to greet us. Such a red sky means, of course, that we should expect quite a downpour later on.

Once the rain has moved on, the UK will be in an autumnal air flow so will be unlikely to see warmer temperatures now until next year.

Yesterday's blip postponed for the moment. I was second shooter at a wedding and won't get the photos back for a little while. I enjoyed doing it although I have reservations about how many of my shots might make the cut. It did mean I was exhausted after being on my feet for much of the day. I was in bed by 9 pm!
