Rural

We went for a drive after lunch today, to a very rural area nearby, a tiny town called Piggabeen.

There doesn't seem to be very much at Piggabeen, just an old hall, a school which has closed down, and farms.....acres and acres of farmland, cows grazing, wooden post and barbed-wire fencing, and dams, where some interesting large white birds seem to live.

I took about fifty photos, and chose this one, as it shows the rural aspect with the long grass (which is everywhere in the area) in front of one of the newer homes that have sprung up recently in the area.

It's a long weekend here in Australia, and the weather is actually very nice ~ unusual for a long weekend!
