Spiggie Swans
The Swan numbers on the RSPB Reserve at Spiggie Loch will start picking up now and usually hit their peak numbers during the first half of November when the bulk of them move south. Do seem to be getting more and more over-wintering though. Those that were there today didn't seem to mind a day of rain but least there was no wind.
Good variety of birds about with Blackcaps, Goldcrests and Wrens adding to the usual bunch in the garden but they would be down the pecking order for the Twitchers yesterday and today who were congregating at the village south from us to view the Siberian Rubythroat.
