Vault-age

As part of the Ibis three-hotels press trip EdiSteve and I were taken on a history tour down in the vaults under Edinburgh's South Bridge, for tales of poverty, crime and short, short lives. It was thoroughly informative and entertaining - guide Linda from Mercat Tours was the best we've had on any of the various walks we've been on. She knew her history and delivered it with drama, humour and lots of charm. If you're thinking of a Mercat tour, ask for her by name!
