Preparing for Monday

Ages ago I bought two William IV (1830’S) caned chairs for restoration. I’ve started stripping off the old varnish and emptying old caning materials out of the holes at the edge of the seat. I have a class on Monday evening and don’t want to waste time doing preparation which can be done at home. These chairs have been polished and re-caned at some time in the past.

As it was a cold wet afternoon, I was well occupied doing this job in the garage.
