Entrance to Waverley Station

I have tried to take this shot a few times now when waiting for my husband to finish work but it has never quite come out right.

It is the entrance to Waverley Station from Calton road and I believe at one time a choice existed at the top of the steps between either a right turn onto the footbridge leading into the station itself, or straight ahead for the elevated walkway across to Jeffrey Street, the pier and part of the framework of which can still be seen today.

I wasn't happy with my orginal shot tonight so have played around with the highlighting and shadows to get a better effect.
