Taking a chance!

Well the winter pansies and polyanthus seem to be thriving as all the summer flowers did - so perhaps I don't kill everything after all!
To fill the space left by removing the lilac bush I thought shrubs in pots would be better than things in the ground - so I took a chance and bought these. Don't ask me what they are, I think the silvery one is Euphorbia, the tall green one is a Mexican something, the lower right is a Japanese maple, the other is a Fetterbush 'Scarletta' an evergreen that changes colour during the year ;-) . None grow very big so I hope they'll be OK in the pots.
