Taken so young

Little 5 year old Jack Dixon was engulfed by a rouge king wave while standing by the waters edge at the base of Mount Maunganui last Wednesday. His body has still not been let up by the sea.

Today Mount board riders and Surf club members paid a tribute to the little man with a paddle out at main beach. Typical kiwi spirit meant 100s came to the beach to release balloons, and show support to the family hoping the sea will release the wee boy soon.

As a parent I couldn't imagine the pain these people are feeling at the moment. RIP little Jack
