FRITILLARIAS:

Two tall growing Fritillarias. Pallidiflora on the left & Persica. I took this, this morning in a howling gale; the kind of wind that brings rain & hallelujah, in the late afternoon, it's come on. Rain !
On the farm I belonged to the Scottish Rock Garden club & they had a wonderful seed catalogue. Persica is seed that came from Scotland & I waited 7 years for it to flower. It is not a pretty flower, just different. Pallidiflora, is one of my favourites.
