The Cenotaph, Darlington
Better weather this morning so I went out early for brisk walk.
Continuing my First World War theme, this is Darlington's Cenotaph. Unusually it's not in a prominent place in the town: it's in the forecourt of the town's hospital which was itself built as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the war.
The 1,200 names of the town's fallen are on wall plaques in a memorial hall adjacent to the Cenotaph.
