simple pleasures........

What a day! My lovely Malawian son arrived yesterday and today we had to go shopping as he has been invited to the USA to speak at a conference and needed some things to take! We spent the morning in the markets and in the shops in town, then I met a friend for lunch. After lunch I came home and did some chores, and went out for a walk and found the kids playing in the sand.

I am always amazed that in a country where we don't have health and safety issues, we don't have loads of ipads and computer games for kids, we don't even have toys.........and yet look at the joy in the faces of the kids as they play in the sand! Simple pleasures......
