Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao

Sadly left Panes this morning and started journey home by driving to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim Museum.

The building and its surroundings are amazing - so impressive that I felt my ways of looking and seeing were really shaken up. There are so many fantastic things about the place, but I chose this photo of the steps up the outside. The perspective is fascinating and you can see the wonderful "Puppy" in the background - a huge stainless steel structure covered in simple flowering plants.

I then got lost in the huge blocks of insalubrious flats in the outskirts, before eventually finding a basic service station to park up in during a very heavy persistent rainstorm.
