If you can't beat them...

Saturday 4 October 2014: Cyclamen neapolitum

Saturday so the usual jobs at the Lodge getting the washing cleaning etc. However because of the situation with CC's Mum we had asked the letting agents not to book anybody in for this week.

When we arrive at the Lodge the Cyclamen were in full flower. They have done extremely well, we planted them (from my brother's garden) 10 years ago when we started the Lodge business. Since then they have thrived and self seeded in what isn't the ideal situation for them. They are on a south facing bank among rocks partly under the verandah.

To give scale each flower is about half to three quarters of an inch (15 - 20mm) long.
