Peebles in Early Autumn

A cold night followed by a bright sunny morning. After breakfast we took a quick walk up the road and stopped to get this view across Peebles. The autumn colours are just starting to show in the landscape. An equestrian cross-country event was taking place in the fields near by so we stopped to watch that for a while - there were quite a few refusals especially at the water jump! We then returned home so I could Skype to my sister and her family. It was lovely to see them all. My niece gave me a performance on the cornet which she is learning! This afternoon the weather deteriorated to give us grey cloud and rain. I now have that Sunday evening feeling as Monday morning and work loom on the horizon.
