Tai Chi in a Tube

One of the attractions of the MSC Preziosa is the 120 metre long Vertigo water slide that descends from the 18th deck to the 15th, the transparent section here taking you out over the sea. You can get the sensation of it rather well from this Youtube video.

When I launched myself down the tube, I plunged breathlessly like a bullet whereas Wifie, Jan and Sarah perfected the art of a more sedate descent with time to admire the view as they went through this section. Wifie really was practising her Tai Chi as she went down.

On this day we did go into Dubrovnik, and the spectacularly beautiful old city. However, it is now entirely devoted to the tourist Euro (it even cost about £10 just to walk the perimeter of the city wall), and with the Preziosa having disgorged 3000 of us into a confined area to add to the many other visitors, it was like being carried along in a football crowd. So, the blipper failed to take a respectable photograph (except of an extra from the Game of Thrones on his mobile phone). The female members of the party, however, were all very happy with their acquisitions from a handbag shop found by Wifie.
