Lange Nacht der Museen

Every year, for one night only, all of Austria's museums are open between 18:00 and 1:00 the following morning. It was amazing just how many people attended the event, then huge number of people highlighted by the fact that there were often hour-long queues to get into museums that one could usually enter without waiting at all. This is testimony to the fact that if you give people a good incentive, they are more than happy to visit museums, especially if there is a festival-like atmosphere too!
