the onshore wind took us by surprise on the beach. arran sat in the sun across the water while we dodged the rain clouds. the kids hid under blankets while we played football and catch rather competitively. a large ice cream, a long walk round the swan ponds, fish and chips at home and that lovely sensation of sand in the bed.
