Caught in the act

Spent this morning in the kitchen clearing up and then baking. Grace decided she wanted to make chocolate cakes. Funny because she's never interested in eating them. She just loves the process of baking - though she does enjoy licking out the cake mixture! This afternoon she had two hours in the swimming pool. It's free tuition as part of instructor training.
This weekend has been the inaugural valleys Folk Festival. We have been very much focused on Hubby's exhibition opening, so much of the festival passed us by, but tonight I took Ophelia to a beautiful venue literally round the corner from where we live to see a few bands and down a few drinks (fruit juice for Ophelia of course!). The headline band was made up of the former village middle school's pupils from about ten years ago. They were all in my tutor group back then and it is fabulous to see how successful they've all become. They're an awesome live act who have got quite a following now through word of mouth and are well worth checking out ! We gave one chap a lift up to the festival this afternoon and it was great to catch up with what he's been up to. Ophelia bopped until she almost literally dropped from exhaustion so we couldn't stay for the whole show unfortunately. I have great photos from the evening, but Grace asked me earlier if I was going to use her cake photo as my blip today. It's such a beautiful and funny picture, how could I not choose it?
