in the rain

driving around in the early hours of the morning, i found myself drawn to a young elm tree destined for a life of shading cars in a parking lot. growing under a pair of very bright metal halide lights, the tree appeared quite happy. i gave this photo a harsh cropping, but otherwise it is unedited. the green was that bright. the night was that black. and the rain was that wet!
