Home thoughts from abroad
Clifford T Ward probably isn't known to many. I was a fan but only for a very short time and I think there were only two songs, this one which has a special significance and "Gaye".
Fot the non English Blipers, the song is connected to the Robert Browning poem.
Today Angie's parcel from Ireland got unpacked and with great joy found that a few items were for me. A lovely thought and a thank you from them to Angie for all her work during their last visit. Angie had mentioned how much she loved Salt & Vinegar crisps which one very very rarely sees here. The Carrs water biscuits were for me, again not something I have seen here. Weird how such "plain, ordinary things" can give so much pleasure. Son J and girlfriend Sarah had brought over some Colman's Mustard Powder when they came, having room in their luggage. Kate with all the things one needs for children and with Ryanair luggage restrictions had no chance to bring things like crisps or chocolate in 30°C temperatures.
Thanks very much gang ....
