...Captain Butler was born and educated in the Minlaton area - and had become a very popular local folk hero..

...The Plane itself is thought to be the only one of it's kind left in the world..only 125 of the planes were originally built of which two or three were shipped to Australian, and some purchased by the Chilean Government.

...Captain Butler bought the Aircraft from the British Government in 1919 and shipped it to Australia.
