Clouds at Sunrise

One of the best things about being up before sunrise is that you actually have the opportunity to enjoy the sunrise. Sunsets get all the credit, but sunrises are way, way better (especially in the desert).

It is always exciting to catch the incredibly beautiful colors that can occur at sunrise, especially because they tend to be so very fleeting. In many cases they last only a couple minutes. So I always feel very fortunate whenever I catch those colors by accident, as happened this morning.

So, of course, I had to grab my camera and rush outside (into the cold!) to capture an image of the clouds glowing with color as the sun was just about to peek over the horizon...
