A day on the trains

My friend had given the twins a day out at the lavender line for their birthday and today was the day we visited. It was a gala weekend so as well as the trains there were traction engines. We had rides on both the resident steam engine and diesel as well as the brake van and the kids (and big kids) loved it all! There is also a signal box at the end of the line which the children can have a go at operating. Most levers are redundant but one is still attached to a signal which caused much amazement when they saw what they were operating!
