A Summer visitor still here but not for long
Indeed if it was not crouching so low into the wind, it'd have been well away. Normally Wheatears - old English white arse - stand upright but today this one, on its protracted Summer stay, needed to get as low as it could and grip as tight as it could to avoid the wind. I think it is a bird that hatched this year rather than a female, the male as with most birds is considerably brighter. As the day progressed it blew stronger and stronger.
For the rest of the day I was a sad geek. I am sick of spending twenty minutes trying to find something in what is a small house but having got used to where things are in France, everything is new to me here. Today therefore I actually went around and made a list - not even a list but an excel file - of where everything is stored. It was also an excuse to tidy a few things up and I certainly didn't want to go outside.
