With a view like this...

...who needs art on the walls? And it changed in appearance every 15 minutes or so throughout the day. Marvelous!

We've had a great day here in Hvalfjörður, staying in Guðrún & Gústi's cottage. It rained a bit but that was just to add some drama to the view ;)

We went sightseeing in the afternoon and saw the church at Saurbær called Hallgrímskirkja (where our hosts got married 25 years ago), the war museum at Hlaðir and the big whaling station near Mt. Þyrilsklif.

The rest of the day and evening was spent chatting, eating good food and drinking wine, playing cards and enjoying each others company.
