Sunset over the Flash

What a funny day I've had.......had a horrible night; still awake and wandering downstairs at 3.15am! I heard the wind building and then the rain started, finally got off some time after 4! I woke just after 9 feeling pretty groggy but dragged myself up (good job I didn't have to be up early for work!) I put some washing on; did more Christmas shopping on line; mulligatawny soup and a sandwich for lunch; hub did some comparisons for gas and electric providers; I did some reading up on photographing certain things...ie sunsets and sunrises. The rain stopped finally so I set about getting my blip for today! I got a couple of shots of birds on the feeders, but nothing really to get excited about! By 5.30 the sky had really cleared so I decided to go out to Pennington Flash in the hope of a good sunset bearing in mind what I'd been reading about! I took quite a number of shots, but after mine and hubs deliberations we both picked out this one. I wish the foreground was a bit lighter but I'm fairly pleased with it for a first attempt!
