Welcome to the heart and soul of Edinburgh. Had a trial with Hearts this morning but they weren't for signing me. Ah well, just had to attend the conference that I was actually there for.

Atfter a self-serve buffet of the usual fare of sandwiches, vol-au-vents and football pies I asked permission from some official-looking woman sporting the Heart of Midlothian insignia on her workwear if I could go into the stadium to take some pictures. 'I'll just check with security', says she, 'but DON'T walk on the pitch'. Slight askance look from me - in these shoes, I don't think so..
