A farewell view of Warsaw.

This line of light permanently replicates the candles that linked the Presidential Palace gates with the tomb of the unknown warrior in the dark days following the Smolensk plane crash in 2010 .

That crash killed the President, his wife and 94 of his closest entourage of military, civil and religious leaders. It had, and continues to have, a great impact upon the people of The Republic of Poland. It was an enormously profound privilege to be living in Poland at that tragic time.

I type this at LHR as we wait to pushback on the last BA shuttle of the day. A few of us rattling around in a very large Boeing 767.

We have had an amazing four days in Warsaw and have been humbled by the kindness and welcome given to us by all our Warsaw friends.

Dziekuje bardzo ....
