View across Crummock Water

The first day in the lake district started with torrential rain and strong winds so rather than looking for landscapes we headed over to the wonderful Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum for a morning exploring workshops and engine sheds. So many great textures and macro shots. Thankfully the weather cleared up at lunchtime so we could get outdoors and spent several hours wandering around the woodlands and lakeside at Crummock Water. A long day but lots of fun and lots learnt :-)
