Storm across the Solent

As usual best viewed in Large.

In total contrast to yesterday for most of today it was batten down the hatches as torrential rain and wind hit the Island.

Towards sunset the rain retreated so I dragged myself to the Esplanade for a much needed walk. I was so glad I made the effort as across the Solent a spectacular storm cloud was tracking the land towards Portsmouth producing some fabulous cloud formations and rainbow.
