Beech Bloom

I first noticed this single exotic bloom flowering on a tree near work, last week. I kept an eye on it, waiting for someone to nab it.

Very obviously it was not native to the beech tree it was attached to, but still - it was pretty.

Today I decided to have a closer look, and saw that it was a hair clasp which had been pinned to the tree. Who cares why? 10 out of 10 for inventiveness!
