Go for the big heart every time...
The alternative title for this is 'From haggis to blood!' Well, that was my day really but don't be alarmed.
I am typing this straight into Blipfoto than writing it out separately and pasting it in afterwards, so apologies for more twaddle than normal.
I was extra hungry this morning so had haggis with my egg, bacon and tomato today. I do quite like it but I wouldn't say it's an ideal breakfast food. David (my landlord) had been trying to get me to try it for years. I finally did try it a couple of years ago and now have it at least twice when I'm here. It's a bit like a spicy beef burger when served with breakfast but I think I'd prefer it with gravy and spuds. I enjoyed it today anyway and as the weather was beautiful, I decided to save the cinema for a dull day and do everything with the best views today.
This required lots of walking up and down. By the end of today, I have added to my existing aches in places I didn't even know I had places with the feeling that I have been running a marathon or climbing Mount Everest!
I decided to walk to the Shore first of all having got directions from David. It did sort of only take 15 minutes but then I turned off where I shouldn't have and ended up at Ocean Terminal again. Oh well. I decided to have an early lunch after that before catching a bus with the grumpiest driver I have ever seen to the Museum of Scotland to visit Dolly the Sheep. I had to ask as I couldn't find the science bit! No wonder! It's being refurbished and won't be available until 2016. I hope I live that long....
I went up to the roof after that where I took loads of pictures. This one should be the Hub (big pointy spire) and Camera Obscura (smaller white building dome) where I went next. There were loads of tourists wandering about brought out by the sunshine but I managed to catch a picture of the Heart of Midlothian on the Royal Mile without some idiot standing on it. I would have used it as my blip but it didn't look great on screen with spittle glistening in the sun. It's supposed to be good luck to spit at the Heart.
Anyway, I took too many pictures from the roof of Camera Obscura and have wasted too long deciding already!
Speeding up now.... I went up to Ocean Terminal again after and had glorified cheese on toast (pizza) in Zizzis as it was all I fancied. It was nice but I have always thought that about pizza everywhere.
Finally, I went to see Dracula Untold. It wasn't bad but I did my usual thing and dozed off a bit and then woke with a slight shriek when a load of bats flew out of a cave. I think I successfully turned the shriek to a sneeze but I might stay away from there for a day or two...
Lovely big moon on the bus back but I thought that might be a bit spooky and so stayed on the bus until I was home.
That's it. Sorry! This was supposed to be quick!
